We have been busy!

boy have we been busy. these last few weeks have brought about some exciting times.

this is me and miss eleanor. we had our last week together. she is an amazing little lady. i will miss her big personality and her cheese ball smile. she is officially a big sister today, congrats burtons, and good luck to you all.

rose & sol paid us a visit. we had fun going to the zoo, the museum, and a delicious asian restaurant. thanks for coming to the windy city. hope you are enjoying hawaii.

our sis-in-law maren also paid us a visit. we ran her all over the city- earning the right to eat like pigs and sleep like babies. we shopped (tiffany anyone?), ate (bucket of caramel @ margie's, garretts popcorn, franco mints, joy yee, pizza, and francesca's), saw the sights (art institute, lincoln park zoo, obama's neighborhood, grant park, buckingham fountain-above, city lights, oh and the people-the wonderfully weird people of chicago), heard the sounds (plastic bucket drummer boys, el trains, lions roaring, traffic, and the wonderfully weird people of chicago), and smelled the smells (delicious food, not so delicious subway or zoo, the "lush" counter and live floral displays at macy's, and the wonderfully weird people of chicago).

we sent her home exhausted and in desparate need of another suitcase. we'll do it all again next year for graduation, only we'll let the husband and kids come this time!

Way to live up this incredible city. Its always fun when the tourists come b/c it turns the city into a different place for a couple of days. We will miss you two tons, and hope your moving preparations are going well.
